...of a long bygone era of crazy paperback novels. I enjoyed this book immensely, having had the misfortune (or in many cases also fortune) to have read many of these books. Hendrix is a great host to this wonderful world - many of the short descriptions of the crazy plots of these books made me laugh out loud, but he also affectionately talks about authors who have accomplished something that is actually still worthwhile to read. A great portion of the book is also dedicated to the artists who painted the many covers that still linger in your mind when you have spent any time in the 80s. Recommended!
